⑴As 2011 Annual Scientific Session Program Chair , please introduce the highlights and spotlights of ACC. What are the different aspects comparing with previous ACC?
<International Circulation>: As you look over the landscape of ACC.11, what stands out to you as the most unique feature to you?
Prof Crawford: I think the most unique feature is the late-breaking trials. We accept a presentation just based on the promise that their study is going to show something interesting – because the study has a high level of interest and regardless of what the results are, that people will have an interest in the topic. We try to showcase these late-breaking trials. The usual situation is that most of the science is submitted six months in advance so the studies are already over and they have the results. The late-breaking trials are something that happens between that six month deadline and the meeting when they have finished their last enrollment and going to open their data up and we get the first look at it.
